Frequently Asked Questions

What is Qlosi?

Qlosi (pilocarpine ophthalmic solution) 0.4% is an FDA-approved treatment for adults who experience blurry near vision as a natural part of aging, a condition known as presbyopia.

How does Qlosi work?

Qlosi works by improving the eye’s natural ability to focus on nearby objects and small details.

Who is Qlosi for?

Qlosi is indicated for adults with presbyopia.

How is Qlosi different from other eye drops for presbyopia?

Qlosi is the first and only eye drop with EyeQ Formulation™, created specifically for presbyopia with the lowest concentration of pilocarpine (0.4%) of all FDA-approved eye medications. Some other eye treatments for presbyopia use much higher concentrations of pilocarpine (4.0% or higher), that are typically used for other eye conditions.

How do I take Qlosi?

It is recommended to start Qlosi with Clear Start Week, using 2 drops in each eye, with each drop dosed 2–3 hours apart, daily, for 7 days. After Clear Start Week, you can choose to either use 1 drop in each eye or to add the second drop in (each eye) after 2–3 hours.

How long does it take for Qlosi to start working?

The Clear Start Week will help you discover your new clear near vision. In clinical studies, after 1 drop in each eye, people experienced improved near vision without compromising their distance vision.

  • After a second drop in each eye, people experienced near vision improvement lasting up to 8 hours
  • People achieved their best results when taking Qlosi as recommended, consistently over 2 weeks
How long does Qlosi last?

With both doses, the effects of Qlosi can last up to 8 hours.

Can Qlosi be used with other eye drops?

Yes, Qlosi can be used alongside other eye medications. Simply wait 5 minutes after using Qlosi before using the other eye drops.

Can Qlosi be used with contacts?

Yes. Contact lens wearers can experience the benefits of Qlosi. Simply remove the contacts, use Qlosi, and wait 10 minutes before putting them back in.

What are the most common side effects of Qlosi?

Most of the side effects reported in the Qlosi clinical studies were mild, brief, and went away by themselves. The most commonly reported side effects were eye irritation and headache, reported by 5%-8% of people.

Will my insurance cover Qlosi?

No. But, Qlosi can be paid for using FSA or HSA plans. You can also access exclusive savings when you subscribe for refills of Qlosi.
